Android Auto is the safer, easier way to use an Android phone while driving. This integrated system allows drivers to quickly access contacts, calendars, messaging, real-time traffic and navigation, and more than 100 third-party apps. To get started using Android Auto, read or watch the instructions below for setup.

Ensure your car or aftermarket stereo is compatible with Android Auto. The following models are supported:

Check Your Phone Compatibility

If you have Android 9 or below, download the Android Auto app on your phone. For Android 10 and above, Android Auto is built-in, eliminating the need for a separate app.

Connect

1. Connect your phone to your car using a USB cable to see Android Auto on your car display.
2. Wireless Connection:
   • Some phones and cars support wireless connectivity.
   • Requirements:
     • A compatible Android phone with an active data plan and 5 GHz Wi-Fi support.
     • Wireless projection is compatible with:
       • Any phone with Android 11.0
       • Google or Samsung phone with Android 10.0
       • Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+, or Note 8 with Android 9.0
   • Check with your car manufacturer for wireless capability.
